MSW Active Data Storage SOAP Service

The MSW Active Storage Web Service is a data storage service with SOAP interface. The service is backed by the distributed scalable Metrized Small World Active Storage.
From user’s point of view, the storage consists of a set of data domains containing uniquely identified data items in a form of attribute-value sets. A user can add or remove domains, create and delete items in a domain, and perform search of data items in a domain using query language. At the back end, data items are stored as active XML storage units consolidated into a Web-based Small World network. The active storage units communicate by means of XML messages to perform addition and search processes.

Please also note that the service implementation is in its prototype phase, so the reliability of the service as well as data storage reliability cannot be guaranteed. The MSW Web Service is meant to be a way to demonstrate the abilities of MSW technology by providing a simple and easy-to-use access interface which covers the complexities of the raw MSW Storage.
